Boston Vocal Technique

Teens and Adult Beginners

Pop, soul, blues, jazz, musical theater, classical

Different styles of music require slightly different approach in technique, something that not every classically trained teacher has learned. The nature of commercial styles require you to use a more straight tone, more forward placement of the sound right on the teeth, less open space in the throat and mouth.

All those fine distinctions make up differences in style, but still require a solid foundation using the greater muscles of your torso. I ensure the proper foundation is there, and then venture into different techniques for your style to develop sustainable singing habits and maintain overall vocal health. Singing is also good for your general health and for stress reduction.
